What is the Difference Between Outbound and Inbound recruiting When it comes to recruiting, some may argue that it doesnt matter whether its inbound or outbound as long as the end result is the same. But others would say there is a huge difference and there are benefits to both types of recruiting. This week our panel of experts tells us what they think the difference between the two are and why theyre not the same thing. Joe Shaker Outbound recruiting is how you push the message out or where you deploy your message. For instance, job postings, advertising, social media, etc. You want to ensure youâre targeting your outbound recruiting efforts so the right candidates are seeing your message. Inbound recruiting is aggressively sourcing candidates, so youâre bringing potential candidates in to consider and approach. Joe Shaker is the President of Shaker Recruitment Marketing. Things like cold-calling or aggressive poaching are some of the behaviors that characterize outbound recruiting. A content schedule is like a calendar that plots out what you intend to post when you plan to post it. Following a content plan provides you with a cadence or a rhythm to your posts that highlights your consistency. Its been said that 75% of applicants are never looked at. Plus the average time jobs are open is the longest on record 30.4 working days. Small businesses struggle to attract employees. This could be due to the fact that small businesses generally have smaller budgets and cant pay as much a. However, pay at businesses with fewer than 50 workers rose 3.3% annually so far in 2018, according to ADP data. Are you watching your friends take vacation and wonder when you get to? Do you have weeks of vacation days saved up but havent taken any? Whether you are a self-proclaimed work-aholic or feel guilty about taking time off, DONT! Many employers think the fear of taking a vacation is unfounded.
